Our Wonder Room

But God’s Grace

“There is nothing but God’s grace. We walk upon it; we breathe it; we live and die by it; it makes the nails and axles of the universe.”
— Robert Louis Stevenson

Really? How much simpler can it get? Nothing happens apart from God’s grace. That has not and will not always bring me comfort during times of pain and turmoil and sorrow, yet how thankful am I that by God’s grace Adam and Eve had freedom within the Garden? When they ate from the apple, sin entered. Yet God allowed that by His grace. He allowed pain, and turmoil and sorrow to come into our world. But those things are not more powerful than His grace.

The same Grace that sets me free is the same Grace that rescues me. In my weaknesses I am made strong –

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, NIV
