“I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
– John 14:2

Not sure why this morning that simple sentence jumped out at me as I began to read John 14. My mind wants to envision a place defined by the looks and comforts that I am familiar with here on earth. And while I certainly could look elsewhere in Scripture for hints of what that place may look like, I really don’t want to know. As Lori would attest, I’m not really one for surprises, but this is one surprise that I can look forward to.
