“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble.”
— Proverbs 4:18-19, The New King James Version
Boy, the last few days here in Bellingham have been nothing less than spectacular. So, when I came across these two verses this morning they just connected. What I find interesting in comparison is that when the sun is out there, shining in all it’s glory, I want to be out there also. And when it is dark and dreary… not so much on the wanting to be out.
I guess my challenge, on the dreary days, is to be as His bright shining light to those who walk in darkness. It could just be a smile. Each of us has the power to brighten the day of others, and no one can take that from us. Let it be our avocation. (Hmm, I was wondering how I might get in the “word of the day”).
