“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”
Matthew 11:19
One of the most fascinating things for me to think about is the question of where would I find Jesus today? If Jesus came back today, where would He go and who would He be eating and drinking with? If I can answer that question, then I will know where I should be.
If I have meeting Jesus as my goal, then I need to be where He would be. If I want an apple I’m not going to find one standing in the middle of an orange grove.
We can read His Word on where Jesus went and who he ministered to. Hopefully by His grace, and not by my own persuasion, I will find myself ministering to some unreached people group that Jesus would be among if He were here in the flesh. For I am, you are, the arms and legs of Christ today. Let us find ourselves as “friends of tax collectors and sinners.” He came not to save the healthy, but the sick.
