“The church is called to be a factory for discipleship making, not a warehouse for believers.”
– Byron Maynard
That was a very interesting quote to read this morning. Many times I go to church to be fed. In which case it’s all about me. Rarely to I worship in song, or listen to the message or fellowship and intentionally focus on my role in creating other disciples. What happens does so more by osmosis than by intention. I need to be more intentional in making my discipleship bag more full. All the experiences through which God has taken me uniquely qualify me, and each of you, to share a perspective on Him that no one else has. The more intentional I am on what I take in, the better equipped I will be to disciple. Believing is great. But I’ve got to do something with it.
