As I looked at my planner today in preparation to sub in 1st grade today, I realized that I have been in a classroom everyday this week. Granted three of those days were only half days… but still, it is exciting. And each of the schools I have been in were ones that I had been in before. It is pleasing to know that I am getting called back to familiar buildings (must mean I’m doing something right).
Then, as I thought those thoughts, the doxology came to mind. I am so blessed.
“Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.”
Wait, it gets better. As I looked up the doxology on the web, I found that it is actually only the last verse of a much longer hymn. Hmm, didn’t know that. You can view the entire hymn here. While I won’t include the entire hymn in this email, this other verse really jumped out at me:
“Direct, control, suggest, this day,
All I design, or do, or say,
That all my powers, with all their might,
In Thy sole glory may unite.”
