I was scrolling through Facebook this morning and randomly watched this video. Obviously I was caught off guard by the people who looked like they had money were the ones who took the most. And then the guy who took money who said he didn’t even need it. Really? And then the guy at the end…
The point, for me at least, in reaction to this video was to ask who am I? There will be times when I am the one who can give and times I will be the one in need. When I am in need, what do I really need and do I at all consider the needs of others in relation to my needs? And perhaps more importantly, as I am able what do I have to give? Time, energy, effort… grace, forgiveness, love? The list should be endless.
“Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” – Deuteronomy 15:10 (NIV)
