Our Wonder Room

Something Great

“We never become truly spiritual by sitting down and
wishing to become so. You must undertake something so great
that you cannot accomplish it unaided.”
– Phillips Brooks (1835-1893)

When I left my last employer over three years ago, I really had no idea what I would do next. Since then I have never looked back, and reading these words from Brooks brought that home again. Even now, amidst the classroom, I often wonder what I am doing in a small space with a bunch of energetic fourth graders. Never a dull moment, that’s for sure. Yet, I thank God for His aid because I know in my heart that right now, at this point in my life, this is where He wants me to be. I couldn’t do this without Him.

This morning I was catching up on some emails and I saw that a friend of mine had started a blog (Bronco, at broncosblog.blogspot.com). A “blog” is like a web journal, so I thought I might try one where I could repost these devotions. Who knows, that way if someone wants to read it but they can’t get to their email, they can read it on the internet at katurley.blogspot.com. Takes me about a minute to cut and paste and post.
