Our Wonder Room

His Reach

“If you want to experience living life as Jesus did, go out and do the things He would do. Let Him guide you to the person who needs compassion and mercy. Let Him direct you to the hurting, lonely and the lost. As you share His love with them, He shares His heart with you.”

The other night while here in New Mexico, we watched part of a Ravi Zacharias (forgive my spelling) video, and I have been chewing on something he said in the video, and it rings home with this quote from a devotion I read this morning. While he was in the Middle East, he had reason to travel with a man who wished to share the Word with a neighboring country. However, that country’s strict laws forbid him to enter and to do so. This man was distraught, for he felt he could not do the will of God he felt led to do. Then, years later, some 50,000 soldiers were sent by that country into his own. Again, he was distraught at the presence of these foreigners in his own country. However, one night, while praying, his eyes were open, as Ravi shares, and he realized through the grace and mercy of God, that since he could not go into the country to share the Word, the people of that country were brought into his where we could minister to them.

Who is God bringing into my life and yours that we would otherwise not be able to reach of our own accord?

“You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
