Our Wonder Room

His Name: Sun of Righteousness

“But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.”
Malachi 4:2

One of my favorite things to experience has always been a beautiful sunset. There is just something power in those moments before the sun goes down below the horizon and the moments soon after. Sunsets can be so beautiful.

Yet, as I have gotten older and take the opportunities to take in more sunrises (which is really something I’ve been missing out on since I’m a morning person anyway), there is something powerful about watching the beginning of the day. There are those moments when I can see the sun’s rays before I actually see the sun. And those moments when I actually feel the sun’s rays wash over me anew. Yes, something about experiencing a sunrise energizes me in a way a sunset never does.

Each day, Christ as my Sun of Righteousness, allows me to start over. As Malachi 4:2 says, He brings healing. That is so exciting!
