Just read this as I looked through my morning devotions. Wow! Battles.

When Advent started it was my goal to send out an email to you all each morning of Advent. Frankly it has been a battle, one that I am loosing through no fault but my own. And yet I read Jenkins words this morning and find a bit of inspiration. What if I looked at where I wanted to go, saw the possible obstacles, and did not engage in the effort… in the battle towards where I believe God desired me to go?

In Christ we are called to start the race with our best effort. There will be obstacles and challenges. There will be Satan presenting us any number of excuses (mine right now being “I’m too busy”). This is when I need to call on Him to help me cast aside the distractions and focus on the goal.

Be in the battle!
