“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.”
– 2 Corinthians 5:20, NIV
This weekend I had the privilege of attending the wedding of a dear friend. While the wedding was beautiful in and of itself, what continues to be an interesting aside are people that I saw that seemed out of place. By that I mean they were people I knew but did not know they were connected to the wedding parties. It happens that way, as I am sure it does for you, that you meet or see people in a place and you think, “hey, I didn’t know that you shop at… that you know… that you worship at… that you play…” For me, when that happens, it’s a cool feeling. People.
Relationships. That’s what it is about. As I read those words from Corinthians this morning, they reminded me that I am always representing Him in my relationships with others. Whether I am with friend, or stranger, or foe. When I am aware of it and when I am not. As I journey through this earthly life, my I do so in a way that glorifies Him, for He is counting on me, using me for His people.
