Yesterday morning I was sitting in church and reading along with the referenced scripture. Then my eyes began to wander, as they are prone to do when reading His Book. I wanted a bette idea of the context of the text we were reading: Hewbrews 12:1-8. It wouldn’t take a rocket scientist (and, yes, I do have one in my family) to read Hebrews 11 and keep coming back to two words: BY FAITH.

As I reflected on that this morning, those two words overwhelm me. This week I think I shall make an effort to re-read Hebrews 11 each day. No matter how much faith I have, I can always use an awful lot more.

Hebrews 12:2 – “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”
