Our Wonder Room

His World

The following lyrics are from ‘This Is My Father’s World’ by Allen Asbury

“This is my Father’s world He shines in all that’s fair
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass
He speaks to me everywhere”

As I was reflecting this morning on where I am now in my journey now that I been “certified” (as my friend Matt commented), it is truly amazing and humbling to think about all the places that I have seen Him. Whether it has been the encouragment
of friends and family, the conversations with other teachers, or the simple laughter of children, it is humbling to hear Him speak to me. Not only that, it is difficult to estimate how many times I didn’t hear or see or feel Him, but He was there.

Each day that I am blessed with is another opportunity to eagerly look for God. I am so very thankful that we worship a God who wants to be found. From Psalm 27, one of my most cherished because it was, in part, read at my grandfather’s funeral, verse 8:
“My heart says of you, ‘Seek his face!’
Your face, LORD , I will seek.”
