Hmm. Just before I hit the “send” button I got to thinking. “Joy” really doesn’t cost me much. Doesn’t cost me time or money which are two things I measure a lot of stuff by. And since it takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown it’s actually good for me. I guess at most it can cost me a change in my perspective. In all things I can choose JOY. Doesn’t mean it is easy to make that choice, but it is possible to find that place. It doesn’t mean I understand, or deny or downplay situations that are painful, but I realize that God has a plan, even in this broken world.

Freedom to choose is a priceless gift from God.
