What a powerful reminder that in the end, the only thing we can control is our reaction to others, not their actions. Not their thoughts. Not their words. How many times have I been either motivated or powerless due to something someone else has intentionally done toward me? I need to remember these words from Romans 11

“For everything comes from God alone.  Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory.  To him be glory evermore.”

Everything? Yes, even that which may be meant to belittle or destroy me can be used for His glory. Yet, at the same time I need God’s grace and mercy to allow me know when I should be “made small”.
