What’s On Your List Today?

I tried this once without You,
And it was my great mistake.

One of my devotions this morning included the above line from ‘Everything About You’ by Sanctus Real. I’ve never heard of them or the song, but the message hit home. When things others are doing aren’t going the way I want, it is easy for me to slip into the mode of “if you want anything done do it yourself.” You can imagine that this could present problems for a teacher, so this is something I need to work on. Heck, it can present problems for anyone at any time.

Then the same devotion challenged me today:
“Today, look for ways you can be a help to other people. And also accept the help of others. But most of all, humble yourself before the Lord; ask for and receive His help. Go to His Word and search for His wisdom. In every situation, in every circumstance, He is your Savior, your source of strength, hope and success, because apart from Him you can do nothing.” – Suzy C., Solid Sounds 8-30-04

I’m not sure what each of you have on your “To Do List” today, but I must confess that none of those were written on the top of mine. Implied (partially), but not intentionally written. Perhaps my “To Do List” each day should have the word “HELP” listed first… giving and receiving from those on Earth and my Lord and Savior.

ps… my respect to Fred Meyer as I borrowed one of their slogans for my subject line (at least I think it is theirs)
