“Joy is the echo of God’s life within us.”
–Joseph Marmion
Awesome words to greet me this morning, especially since yesterday’s message from the pulpit was also about JOY.
The reason I titled today’s post as I did is because I need to always remind myself that being joyful is a decision I can choose. No one can take it from me, nor can anyone force it upon me. Joy is a decision. But how do I live my life such that choosing joy becomes my default? Live in His Word. Live in prayer.
“Prayer gives us the privilege of leveraging God’s resources with our own. Prayer is putting our hand into God’s hand, so that when we confront what appears to be overwhelming waves (challenges), we won’t sink.”
–John Ankerberg
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
–1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Today, as you go about your adventures, may you choose joy, no matter the circumstance. If you and I operate from a place of joy, may that joy be contagious. May we be instruments that change the world, which needs more joy.
