“I live and love in God’s peculiar light.”
–Michelangelo

Well, over the last couple of days I’ve been trying to get into the Facebook networking thing. After all, being that my business is essentially about helping my clients get networked, I probably should be up on tools like Facebook and Linkedin and others.

What I found interesting this morning, as I reflected on Michelangelo’s words above, is that nearly all the people I was adding as friends in my Facebook are my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Their presence in my life is in many ways confirmation that I am living in God’s light because of the people surrounding me. That feels pretty good.

Yet, at the very same time, it is a reminder that I need to be expanding my sphere of influence by inviting others to walk with Christ. Yes, it is nice to be adding people to my friends list on Facebook, but am I adding names to His Book? That’s the one that matters. That is living. That is loving.

Psalm 115:1 – “Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.”
